T.J. Rose

Founder and Managing Partner, Ironleaf Capital

Prior to founding Ironleaf, T.J. was a Partner at both Veritas Capital and Abry Partners, where he held a senior role on each firm’s investment teams. T.J. began his career at McKinsey & Company and Goldman Sachs, and he subsequently spent time as a Vice President on the investment team at Audax Private Equity. Originally from Tallahassee, FL, T.J. earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Florida A&M University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Shaden Marzouk

MD MBA, CEO / Board Director and Chair / Neurosurgeon

Dr. Shaden Marzouk, MD MBA, is a growth-focused CEO with a track record of taking global billion-dollar healthcare companies from challenging situations into desired results. As CEO of GenesisCare (Board: Oaktree, Bain, Canyon, Avenue), she took a $1bn revenue healthcare services company from losing about $40mm a year, 8-figure negative cash flow, negative growth, and $2bn of debt – and turned it into a company with positive EBITDA that sustains on cash flow from operations, 13% growth, and no debt. She actively led the successful exit to strategics. Currently, Dr. Marzouk is an Executive-in-Residence at Frazier Healthcare Partners.

Shaden began her career as a neurosurgeon and U.S. Army Major, then transitioned into global senior leadership roles (Cardinal Health, AXA, Anthem) after receiving her MBA at Duke University and working as a healthcare investment banker at Goldman Sachs. She serves as Board Director and Chairperson for sponsor-backed companies (private and public). In addition, she advises early growth start-ups in AI and health technology. Shaden lives in Brooklyn and her hobby is exploring NYC’s neighborhoods and pursuing the perfect coffee.

Blaine Robinson

Vice President, Therapy Acceleration Program, Blood Cancer United

Dr. Blaine Robinson joined Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) in 2011 and was recently promoted in January 2025 to Vice President of the Therapy Acceleration Program (TAP), the venture philanthropy initiative aiming to accelerate high-risk, innovative blood cancer therapeutics. He works closely with the entire Blood Cancer United Research team and is responsible for identifying and evaluating potential blood cancer drug development opportunities for investment. He has over 20 years of research, drug development and project management experience in the blood cancer field. During his tenure at Blood Cancer United, he has managed over 25 TAP partnerships and has helped perform scientific due diligence on hundreds of opportunities for TAP.

Prior to Blood Cancer United, Dr. Robinson worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship and continued on as a Research Associate for five years where he oversaw all research laboratory operations and project management duties in a pediatric leukemia laboratory. He received his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.


Dan Fischer (Moderator)

Head of New Business Development, Drury Capital

Dan Fischer is Head of New Business Development at Drury Capital an alternative investment manager with a 30-year history of providing returns that are uncorrelated to traditional markets. He brings extensive leadership experience in capital markets, previously serving as Global Head of Foreign Exchange(FX) at Cantor Fitzgerald. Prior to that Mr Fischer held a series of senior FX management roles at Société Générale/Newedge, Natixis, JP Morgan , and Bear Stearns. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fischer worked in alternative investments, including roles at Lehman Brothers Global Asset Management in London and Chang Crowell Management. He began his career at the FINEX division of the New York Cotton Exchange.

Mr. Fischer holds a dual MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University and a BA from SUNY Stony Brook.
