Kevin Mirabile

 

Mirabile is an Clinical Professor of Finance at Fordham University. He teaches courses on the principles of finance, investment analysis, derivatives, alternative investing and personal financial planning. He is also the Director of the Alternative Investment Program at the Gabelli School of Business.

He is an author of several articles and books on hedge funds and alternative investments and is often quoted in the media related to investments and risk. His most recent book, published by Anthem Press, is titled “Exotic Alternative Investments – Stand Alone Characteristics, Unique Risks and Portfolio Effects”.

He is also the winner of several awards for teaching excellence, including Poets and Quants Top 50 Best Undergraduate Business School Professors in the U.S for 2021.

Outside of academia, Mr. Mirabile serves as an independent mutual fund director, an independent wealth management firm advisor and as a consultant providing financial literacy training for Fortune 500 company employees.

Prior to becoming an academic, he held several senior executive positions at Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital and Larch Lane Advisors in banking, sales and trading and asset management.

Mirabile received his B.S. in Accounting from S.U.N.Y Albany in 1983, MS in Banking and Finance from Boston University in 2008 and doctorate in Finance and Economics from PACE University in 2013. He is also a CPA.
